Graduation Ceremony of the XVI Executive International MBA Cohort

The Graduation Ceremony of the XVI Cohort of the Executive International MBA at Gdańsk University of Technology was a moment of pride, reflection and celebration. The event brought together graduates, lecturers, guests, families and friends to mark the completion of an intense two-year educational journey.

Behind every diploma are countless hours of lectures, case studies, group projects, strategic discussions and teamwork. The MBA program is not only about acquiring knowledge, but also about developing leadership, building lasting professional relationships and learning how to face complex business challenges in an international environment.

Distinguished Guests and Inspiring Speeches

The ceremony was honored by the presence of distinguished guests Vice Rector for Research Prof. Dariusz Mikielewicz, Ph.D., Eng. and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs Krzysztof Leja, Ph.D., Eng., who delivered inspiring speeches and had the pleasure of presenting diplomas to the graduates.

A special address was also delivered by Beata Krawczyk-Bryłka, PhD, Director of the MBA Program, who reflected on the journey of the cohort, highlighting their determination, achievements and the importance of leadership, collaboration and continuous development in today’s dynamic business environment.

One of the highlights of the evening was Piotr Witek’s speech titled “Healthy Growth: How to Find Your Path.” In his speech, he shared his reflections on responsible leadership, international management and the challenges of building sustainable development in modern organizations. His perspective combined professional experience in finance, strategic thinking, and a strong emphasis on business ethics.

The ceremony was hosted by Krzysztof Zięba, Ph.D., Eng. who accompanied the audience throughout the evening and helped create an unforgettable and engaging atmosphere.

Celebrating Excellence

Graduation is also a moment to recognize those who have distinguished themselves through their exceptional commitment and achievements during the program.

Several special awards were presented during the ceremony.

1. Best Student Award

The Best Student Award was presented to Maja Tomczak in recognition of her outstanding academic performance, engagement and leadership throughout the program.

2. Outstanding MBA Capstone Project

The award for Outstanding MBA Capstone Project was presented to the team “Game, Set, Thrive”, consisting of Maja Tomczak, Marek Jankowski, Maciej Hołubowicz and Szymon Scharmach.

Their final strategic project stood out for its depth of analysis, innovative approach and strong practical relevance for business. The project attracted the interest of an investor who expressed willingness to further collaborate with the team on its potential implementation.

3. Best Lecturer Award

The Best Lecturer Award, chosen by the students of the XVI Cohort was awarded to Paweł Ziemiański, whose teaching had the greatest impact on their educational experience during the MBA program.

Looking Ahead

Today, these students are joining the growing community of Gdańsk University of Technology MBA alumni – a network of leaders representing a wide range of industries and organizations in Poland and internationally. The knowledge, experience and connections they gained during their studies will continue to shape their career paths and future business initiatives.
