Inauguration of Cohort 17 MBA at Gdańsk University of Technology – A New Chapter in the Careers of Future Leaders!

On November 22, we proudly welcomed our newest cohort – Cohort 17 – to the Executive MBA program. This event signals the beginning of an exciting journey for an international group of individuals ready to embark on an extraordinary educational and professional path.

The ceremony was an event that brought together passionate professionals with a common goal of excellence in management, strategy and innovation. These future leaders aim to enhance their skills, expand their knowledge and cultivate the competencies necessary to thrive in today’s dynamic business environment.

A Prestigious Beginning

The ceremony was graced by distinguished guests who played pivotal roles in welcoming the new cohort and underscoring the value of the MBA program at Gdańsk University of Technology.

–  Prof. Ph.D., D.Sc. Józef E. Sienkiewicz, Vice-Rector for Partnerships at the Gdańsk University of Technology, addressed the students with words of encouragement and shared the Gdańsk Tech’s pride in offering an MBA program with significant prestige and global recognition. He emphasized the importance of the knowledge and skills gained through the program, which opens doors to more excellent career opportunities.

–  Ph.D., D.Sc. Michał Tomczak, Vice-Dean for Cooperation and Development, who is an expert in Human Resources, highlighted the core pillars of the MBA programme and focused new MBA students’ attention on the People Management and Self Development Pillar. His insights into the strategic importance of the program were an inspiration to all present.

–  Dr. Beata Krawczyk Bryłka, MBA Director at Gdańsk University of Technology, took the stage to explain the unique competencies that MBA students will acquire. She also introduced the BANI concept – a framework that helps students navigate a rapidly changing and uncertain world, preparing them for challenges they will face in the workplace.

–   Ph.D., CEO Tomasz Klajbor, CEO of INNOKREA, gave a fascinating presentation on the latest technology and innovation trends shaping today’s business practices. His presentation on the impact of new technologies on organizational structures and processes provided them with valuable insight into the future of business.

Introduction from the MBA Alumni

The event was further enriched by the presence of our MBA alumni, whose experiences and success stories provided an inspiring backdrop to the start of Cohort 17’s journey. These alumni have excelled in their careers and become key members of the MBA community, actively supporting and guiding future students.

Agnieszka Płoska (XI MBA Edition) – one of our esteemed alumni, shared her experience of the transformational journey she undertook during her time in the MBA program. Agnieszka spoke about the invaluable connections she made, the leadership skills she developed, and how the program equipped her to navigate the challenges of the business world.

Matheus Trevizoli Barrachi (VIII MBA Edition) –   talked about MBA studies as an important investment, mainly an investment of time, which is of great value to managers. In his example, he showed that this investment pays off fully. Matheus highlighted the importance of the university’s strong alumni network, which provides valuable collaboration opportunities long after graduation.

Rafael Andrade (XIV MBA Edition), also a proud MBA graduate. For Rafael, MBA studies teach communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Thanks to his participation in the Gdańsk University of Technology program, he boldly speaks in public and is an effective team leader.
