Inauguration of the 16th edition

On November 17, the inauguration of the 16th edition of the MBA Gdańsk University of Technology studies took place. We welcomed Students in the beautiful Senate Hall of Politechnika Gdańska to emphasize the importance of this day and show the important place played by the Executive MBA Program in the University’s structure.

 

Event guests

In the welcome speech, Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Innovation Professor Janusz Nieznański presented the University of Technology as ranked highest among technical universities in the competition ‘Excellence Initiative – Research University’ and a centre of education according to the highest world standards.

The Dean of Faculty of Management and Economics of Gdansk University of Technology, Professor Małgorzata Gawrycka, emphasized the importance of the AMBA accreditation, which we obtained in 2022 for the Executive MBA Program and the Master’s International Management Program for the next five years.

MBA Director Beata Krawczyk-Bryłka, PhD welcomed 24 new MBA Students to the MBA community, guided by the motto: “MBA is not only the education… but the values we bring together”.

The tradition of the inauguration ceremony is a lecture given this year by prof. Krzysztof Zieba: “Opening Scary Door” – we hope that the inspirational speech about a growing human population, limited resources, and GDP will even increase the curiosity of our new MBA Gdańsk University of Technology cohort and that it will open our MBA Students to new perspectives.

Alumni speeches

Our graduates also gave first-year students some good advice on how to make the most of the two-year executive program. We are delighted our alumni cocreate the MBA Gdańsk University of Technology Community with us. We invite new MBA students to contact graduates and benefit from the social capital that makes the executive MBA program valuable.

Ewelina Jacek, a graduate of the 7th edition, talked about the changes in her career path that she made thanks to completing MBA Gdańsk University of Technology studies. She mentioned that as a technical expert and engineer, she learned that companies are as strong as their teams. She realized that business strategy and atmosphere should be treated seriously. Ewelina, we wish you much success in your new position.

Monika Górna, a graduate of the 12th edition, presented the formula for a successful MBA: Curiosity, Community and Courage. Monika, thank you for motivating the inauguration participants to ask questions, look for solutions, be proactive and build relationships. We are glad you are cooperating with our Faculty and the MBA community.

Francisco Crespo Lara, a graduate of the XII edition, compared MBA studies to participating in a marathon. He advised new students to work for their success from day 0, be ready to make an effort and remember that even the end of the journey is the beginning of something new. Francisco – we wish your company a spectacular development.
