MBA Group 17 Visits Flex in Tczew: Where Technology, Culture and Operational Excellence Meet
On 18 September, MBA Group 17 visited Flex in Tczew to see how technology, culture and operational excellence come together in practice. It was a day full of inspiration and thought-provoking discussions, and a valuable chance to connect business theory with real-world practice.
Three presentations
The programme opened with three talks:
- “How to Turn a Technology Project into Business Success” by Jarosław Gracel, CEO of ASTOR
- “Culture is Connection: The Hidden Architecture of High-Performing Organizations” by Bogumiła Falkowska, Learning & Development Manager
- “How Flex is Managing Lean Manufacturing in Practice” by Weronika Piela-Janków, Business Excellence Director
Factory tour
Participants then toured the factory, guided by Paweł Arczyński and Michał Poczęsny. Seeing operational excellence and Lean Manufacturing on the shop floor gave the theory a very tangible context.
Questions to take away
The visit left the group with some big questions:
- Will AI replace managers in the job market, or will it change what it means to be a manager?
- Which elements of organizational culture truly build employee engagement, and how does Flex put them into practice?
- What does operational excellence look like when you move from theory to the factory floor?
