Naturalną rzeczą wśród kandydatów było wybieranie kierunku studia menedżerskie oraz innych studiów biznesowych spośród oferty uniwersytetów. Trend zaczyna się zmieniać, a praktyka i inżynieryjne podejście oferowane przez uczelnie techniczne – politechniki – zaczyna uzupełniać humanistyczne kierunki jak zarządzanie projektami.

Wydziały Zarządzania, ekonomii lub obu stanowią nowe byty na uczelniach technicznych. Gdy inne wydziały świętują 70-lecia i wzwyż, wydziały biznesowe, prowadzące studia menedżerskie oraz studia biznesowe docierają do jubileuszów 30-lecia. Młody nie znaczy słaby, a biznesowy nie znaczy humanistyczny. Młode biznesowe wydziały prowadzą studia m.in. z zarządzania projektami na wysokim poziomie, korzystając z afiliacji i doświadczenia  prestiżowych uczelni technicznych (np. Politechnika Gdańska, Politechnika Warszawska), a także wprowadzając nowe kierunki studiów Executive, elitarnych programów MBA oraz co najważniejsze oferując studia których absolwenci będą mieli tytuł inżyniera. Czy wzrastająca popularność i prestiż oferowanych studiów będzie się utrzymywał? Czas pokaże!

Management studies and business studies at the University of Technology – not only project management is on top

It was a natural thing for candidates to choose managerial and business studies from among the universities’ offer. The trend is starting to change and the practice and engineering approach offered by technical universities – polytechnic, technical universities – begins to complement humanities such as project management.

The faculties of management, economics or both are new entities at technical universities. As other departments celebrate their 70th anniversary and upwards, business departments with management studies and business studies reach their 30th anniversary. Young does not mean weak and business does not mean humanistic. Young business faculties conduct executive studies, among others on high-level project management, using the affiliation and experience of prestigious technical universities (eg Gdansk University of Technology, Warsaw University of Technology), as well as introducing new executive studies, elite MBA programs and, most importantly, offering studies whose graduates will have the title of engineer. Will the increasing popularity and prestige of the offered studies continue? Time will tell!
