Natalia Gietka

Natalia Gietka is a graduate of Gdańsk University of Technology. She defended her doctoral thesis in 2022 in the discipline of environmental engineering. After more than ten years as an academic teacher, she now works at the Centre for Innovative Education at Gdańsk Tech. She specialises in the use of generative AI in education, educational games, IT project coordination and the implementation of new solutions.

She tests new technologies and AI tools and turns them into practical training. She trains academic staff in generative AI tools and in other digital tools, such as Microsoft 365, Moodle, Genially, Canva and H5P. She has broad experience with e-learning platforms and tools for designing interactive materials. She shares her knowledge at workshops and teaching conferences.

The class on business research presents students with a practical way of working with information when AI supports the process. During the session, students learn how to choose a GenAI tool for a research task, write a clear prompt and decide which tasks to do with AI and which without it. They learn how to verify AI output: whether a source exists, whether it says what the AI claimed and whether it is current. They discuss the legal limits, including the EU AI Act and data protection. Students work in groups on business cases, present their findings and review each other’s work.
