Graduation ceremony of the VIII MBA GUT programme

8 March 2019 was a memorable day for students of the VIII MBA Programme. On that day, the group of 28 students received their diplomas and became MBA GUT Alumni.

Students and their families, Lecturers, Programme Advisory Board members, Faculty and University Authorities and IMBA GUT Programme Employees met at a seaside hotel in Sopot, to celebrate awarding the diplomas to graduates of the 2016–2018 VIII MBA Programme.

The ceremony included a summary presentation by Dr Barbara Stepnowska, MBA GUT Director, as well as a powerful speech titled “DARE… to give AND grow!” by Janaki Weiden, Global Operations Director of SAINT-GOBAIN. Dr Stepnowska focused on the question of what are the 21st century trends, competencies, and core values and, above all, that all that matters for the students is what is inside us. Mr Weiden touched on the students’ managerial skills, discussing the key message that dare means to give and grow – in every situation. There was also mention of the new MBA initiative connecting students, the business environment with social responsibility, the Innovation Hub For Humanities.

After the speeches, the compere, Dr Beata Krawczyk Bryłka, MBA GUT Teacher, presented the awards for Best Student and Best MBA Teacher. The first to receive an award was Jacek Kemprowski, for the best results in science – the best diploma thesis and defence. The award for the best teacher went to Ashim Kumar, who lead the subject Strategic Leadership. Mr Ashim received the best feedback marks from students via questionnaires completed at the end of the MBA program.

After the gala there was time for networking session and refreshments.

We do thanks for all participants and their families for coming and making this event very special with a family atmosphere. We wish all our new alumni much luck in their new business career with their solid educational background!
