Module Creativity and Innovation – the lecturer Alain Heureux about impressive results

Can you organise a 3 days Startup Sprint Bootcamp throughout a technological platform and with a group of people sitting behind their screens?

Most of us are familiar since one year with the attached picture spending days in front of the screen listening to somebody or trying to collaborate with others at distance in a home working environment.

The answer is YES when the mindset of participants is open, resilient and constructive.  I had this year in January 2021 the challenge to provide my Module to a group of some 23 MBA participants.  Talented well selected students were present and as most of us are now accepting our hybrid world living with pandemic restrictions, I could feel immediately that we would succeed as the eagerness to learn and the curiosity to explore new experiences were clearly present in the group.  Once again, the Mind-Set is key.  You need to adapt slightly your pedagogy and you need to be surrounded by the right technology and the MBA staff to succeed.  We worked intensively during 3 days dividing the group in teams and let them use and discover agile entrepreneurial tools and methodologies.  We were regularly pitching to each others sharing experiences and asking for peer-to-peer feedback.  You miss of course the human interactions, the sweat, frustrations and funny moments from off-line bootcamps but the final outcome was impressive : 6 beautiful projects, creative and innovative ideas, fun, pleasure and great complicity between team members.  Scorings were high and evaluations from the Module were also strong showing that the mutual experience was positive.  We are turning the VUCA page and are moving to the BANI phase of our history dealing with Brittle, Anxious, Non-linear and Incomprehensive challenges but by being resilient, using empathy, being adaptive and more transparent we will overcome the situation.  MBA Programs are challenged all over the world but in Gdansk we are ready to continue our mission…
